A self-taught artist of Vietnamese origin, I have been active for more than fifty years. I enjoy working in several fields: painting, engraving, sculpture, land art, assemblages, in situ installations, and artists' books.
Light is a source of contemplation. My quest is to exalt its imperishable quality. I do my utmost to render my hand invisible so that the volume and form of my works impose themselves and develop on their own to the utmost point where they find balance in a radiant breath.
The radiant breath belongs to the dazzling nature of Chance; it restores the work's independence and frees me from the object of my obsession.
As soon as it is completed, the work enters into a state of oblivion, which is essential to its awakening.
The ultimate issue is poetry.
